Now taking bookings for 2021!
When you hire me for your wedding reception, I’ll bring my skills and years of experience toward one goal — helping make your wedding even more fun and memorable for you and your guests.
Wedding magic is a big thing in the U.K. Some estimates are that one in five U.K. weddings has a magician. But in the United States, it’s still pretty rare. Which is why if you hire me, your wedding will be different from all the rest.
Magic can bring joy and delight to your reception.
My goal is to make your guests say, "That was the most fun I've had at a wedding!" And I do that by entertaining them with close-up magic while you and the rest of the bridal party are busy doing other things. This usually happens after the ceremony while you’re having your photos taken, aka cocktail hour. And you can also hire me to entertain after the meal. See below for more details.
If that sounds like fun, let’s take the next step
Contact me today for a free, no-obligation quote. (And when I say no-obligation, I mean it — no spam!) We can also set up a time to connect by phone, FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype. And if we decide to work together, I promise a completely professional experience, from initial contact to the big day.
MAGIC AND WEDDINGS: A PERFECT MATCH
Every wedding is different, but here are some suggestions on the best times to bring me in for the magic.
DURING COCKTAIL HOUR OR PORTRAITS
After the ceremony, there’s usually an hour or so when the wedding couple and their families are having pictures taken. This is a great time to bring me in to keep guests engaged and entertained while they wait for you. |
AFTER THE MEAL
Usually, after people have eaten and listened to the speeches, that’s when the party really starts. Some will dance, and others will hang out at the bar or at their tables. I’ll give people something fun to watch and participate in. |
REHEARSAL DINNER
For you and the members of the wedding party, I can perform a fun, family-friendly stand-up show for the whole group. Or I can stroll from group to group doing my best close-up magic. |

I hired David to perform walking magic at my wedding cocktail hour last year and was not disappointed. From the get go, David is extremely professional and responsive. What sealed the deal for me was that in our first email exchanges. he understood that the focus of the day would be on the wedding and making guests feel comfortable and happy during an otherwise awkward hour of mingling. In addition, David prepared a special magic trick for me and my husband, which was just delightful. I would hire David again for any event!

We booked David 48 hours before our wedding because our original cocktail hour entertainment option was outdoors, and there was a 100% chance of rain. From the start, David's genuine and kind personality shone compared to the other vendors. He was extremely responsive and asked questions about the event so he could tailor his magic to it. We were initially skeptical about having a close-up magician at our cocktail hour, but it ended up being one of the best decisions we ever made. Honestly, having David around almost made us grateful for rain on our wedding day -- otherwise we never would have had the chance to have him!

We're big fans of magic and loved the idea of hiring a magician for our wedding. David made it easy, he's very thoughtful, responsive, and professional. He went around doing close up magic in small groups during our reception and even did a trick for us when we entered. We heard nothing but good things from the guests, couldn't be happier!

WHY HIRE ME FOR MAGIC?
BECAUSE MAGIC BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER
Magic is a great ice-breaker because it creates a shared experience of wonder, joy, and surprise. It can start a conversation that continues after I leave the group. And it can bring together mixed groups who didn’t know each other before the wedding started. BECAUSE MY MAGIC IS SOPHISTICATED, NOT CORNY If your only personal experience with a magician was at a kids party, then it’s perfectly reasonable to think of magicians as tacky or inappropriate for weddings. But that’s not me. My magic is entertaining, mystifying, and sophisticated. It’s not cheesy or corny, and I never tell stupid jokes or make inappropriate comments. Of course, if there are kids at your wedding, they’ll have just as much fun as everyone else watching and participating in the magic. In fact, kids are often bored at weddings, and watching me do magic for them and for others can lighten their moods. |
BECAUSE I PERFORM WITH THE HIGHEST IDEALS IN MIND
My goal is to leave a great impression on you and your guests. So I’ll come dressed for your occasion in a tailored suit or whatever is appropriate for your event. I’ll approach groups respectfully and non-intrusively. And I’ll be sure to keep the focus where it belongs: on the wedding couple. Occasionally, someone at an event tells me they’re not interested in magic. So I might strike up a conversation with them about something else, or thank them for their time and move on. I don’t make a big deal about it or force anything. BECAUSE I OFFER A FULLY PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE I strive to make things as easy as possible for you and/or your planner. Before you book, we’ll have a conversation to discuss details, and I’ll ask specific questions so I understand you and your needs. As the big day nears, I’ll confirm everything by email, and we can discuss any last-minute changes. Then, on the day, I’ll arrive ready to perform at least 30 minutes before my start time. When it’s time for me to leave, I’ll pack up quietly and let you enjoy the rest of the day. |
